NWA to fix elevated drain covers in Corporate Area

NWA Communication Manager Stephen Shaw
Following mounting complaints about several elevated drain covers on newly paved roads in the Corporate Area, the National Works Agency (NWA) has said repairs should begin within days.
NWA Communication Manager Stephen Shaw confirmed on Tuesday that the work will proceed once the agency carries out preliminary activities.
There have been reports of vehicle damage caused by the drain covers which elevate sharply above the roads.
Mr. Shaw said to address the situation, the agency plans to put the final layer of asphalt on the newly paved roads in short order.
He added that work would begin on a section of Constant Spring Road that leads between Mary Brown's Corner and Shortwood Road early next week.
He was speaking on RJR's Beyond the Headlines.
