NWC finds more than 400 illegal connections in Westmoreland

The National Water Commission (NWC) on Wednesday revealed that over the last two weeks it has found more than 400 illegal connections in Grange Hill, Westmoreland.
They were found in Paul Island, Church Lincoln and Mint Road during joint operations with the police.
A news release issued by the NWC said of the 467 illegal connections, 103 were found at properties with inactive accounts and 73 with active accounts.
St. James 
The NWC said more than 160 illegal connections were also found in communities in St. James.
The Water Commission is reminding the public that under the NWC Act, it can pursue legal action against persons found with illegal connections.
