NWC treatment facilities affected by heavy winds

The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting that its treatment facilities in several parishes are affected by power supply problems due to the heavy winds.
This has resulted in service disruptions to customers in St. Andrew, Clarendon, St. Catherine and St. Mary.
The NWC says it is working with the JPS to have the situation addressed in the shortest possible time.
Meanwhile, rain has caused high turbidity and blocked intakes at some systems in St. Thomas and rural St. Andrew.
