OCG postpones hearing with contractor for police vehicle procurement

The Contractor General has postponed Thursday's hearing into the $426 million contract issued to O'Brien's International Car Sales and Rentals to purchase 200 used vehicles for the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

Clement Ebanks, Manager of O'Brien's, was scheduled to reappear before the Contractor General to answer questions.

But according to his attorney, Abe Dabdoub, a phone call was received from the OCG postponing the meeting.

The Office of the Contractor General is to set another hearing date.

Mr. Ebanks was summoned last Friday by the OCG to provide documents and information on the contract entered into with the Ministry of National Security.

He submitted documents to the OCG last week and was scheduled to provide more information on Thursday.
