Officials investigating murder of Barbadians in St. Thomas

Investigators in Barbados are working with the Jamaican police to determine a motive for the fatal shooting of two Barbadian men in St. Thomas.

The bodies of Dario Yearwood and Daniel Griffiths were found in bushes in Woodbourne near Yallahs last Friday.

The men were reportedly killed two days earlier, hours after they arrived from Barbados.

Superintendent Derrick Champagnie, Crime chief for Area Five Headquarters, told RJR News that his team has not yet established a motive for the murders.

He said investigators are looking at several theories.

Superintendent Champagnie added that the authorities in Barbados are also assisting his investigators with the profiles of the two individuals.
