Parochial roads in St. Ann to be fixed shortly - Belnavis

Michael Belnavis, Chairman of the St. Ann Municipal Corporation
The St. Ann Municipal Corporation is to shortly repair parochial roads in the parish that were significantly damaged by recent heavy rains.
This follows the Local Government Ministry's approval for the Corporation to use over $16 million from its Special Grant for Repair to carry out emergency work.
This is in addition to the $2 million the Ministry disbursed in December for mitigation work.
Michael Belnavis, Chairman of the St. Ann Municipal Corporation, told RJR News that the money will also be used to carry out other infrastructural work.
"Every division throughout St. Ann will benefit somewhat in terms of some level of rehabilitation on the roads and, of course, some areas will see pothole repairs, some will see drain repairs and so on," he outlined.
