Opposition Leader Dr. Peter Phillips has declared that he will be writing to the Integrity Commission requesting an investigation into road works being carried out in the constituency of Portland Eastern constituency, where a parliamentary by-election will be held on March 25.
Dr. Phillips was speaking Sunday night at his People's National Party's mass rally in Port Antonio Square.
According to Dr. Phillips, there are questions surrounding the contracts for the improvement of roads in the constituency.
It must be ascertained who are carrying out the road works, whether they are registered contractors, and what are the associated costs, he said.
He asserted that his party will be going all out to get answers from the authorities.
He also warned the officials in related ministries that they had "better know what they are doing."
"The contractors that (are) getting promises of this and that better know what they are doing," he added.
