PICA head to leave, Security Ministry confirms

The Ministry of National Security has confirmed a report carried on Tuesday by RJR News that it will not renew the contract of Jennifer McDonald, CEO of Passport Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA).

According to the ministry, Ms McDonald's last day on the job is this Friday.

RJR News understands that  Garth Williams, Deputy CEO for Operations, will likely act in the position until a new CEO is selected.

Ms McDonald had been the head of the agency since July 2007.

When contacted on Tuesday, she said all queries should be directed to Dianne McIntosh, Permanent Secretary in the National Security Ministry.

However, in a memo to staff on Tuesday, a copy of which was obtained by RJR News, Ms McDonald told employees at the agency that her tenure had come to an end.
