PM confident Thursday's stakeholder meeting will underscore need for consensus to fight crime

Prime Minister Andrew Holness has said he is confident that Thursday's stakeholders meeting will reinforce the need for greater collaboration to tackle crime.
 
The meeting got underway at 2 o'clock at the Jamaica Conference Centre. It was closed to the public.
 
Ahead of the meeting, Mr. Holness told RJR News that the meeting was part of a social partnership with stakeholders to achieve consensus. 
 
National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang said, out of the meeting, stakeholders should have a better understanding of the government's anti-crime strategy, in addition to making plans to push forward with a national consensus on crime fighting.
