PM Holness yet to name new Cabinet member from Senate

Prime Minister Andrew Holness is yet to indicate who he has appointed to fill the vacancy in the Senate following last week's resignation of Ruel Reid.
Mr. Reid was also sacked as Education Minister.
When RJR News contacted the Office of the Prime Minister late Monday morning an official said no announcement had been made.
The Constitution requires that at least two Cabinet ministers must be from the Senate.
With Mr. Reid gone, only Foreign Affairs Minister Senator Kamina Johnson Smith remains.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Andrew Holness gave a commitment to have the Senate seat filled by Sunday and a new senator appointed to the Cabinet.
