PNP calls for forensic audit of CMU contracts

Julian Robinson
Julian Robinson, General Secretary of the People's National Party (PNP) has said there is need for a forensic audit or criminal investigation into some of the contracts issued by the CMU.

He said the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) and the Financial Investigations Division (FID) should expand the probe at the university.

"For example, what we have seen in the media of a contract issued to an entity abroad, where the entity itself could indicate what they did from four other providers were, I think we need to follow the trail of the money to determine where that money ended up," he said.

"I think there are very grave allegations that have come out so far in the reports which I think MOCA and FID would have to continue to probe to determine whether there is criminal liability and responsibility beyond the persons who have already been charged," he contended.
