PNP candidate for SW St Catherine selected

The question of who will be representing the opposition PNP in the next General Election in South-West St Catherine has been laid to rest.

Addressing party supporters at a meeting in Old Harbour, PNP President, Portia Simpson-Miller, made it clear that Anthony Ewbanks, a school principal, will officially be the party's candidate in the upcoming polls.

Since the April by-election in the constituency, supporters of Mr Ewbanks and former government senator, Keste Miller, have engaged in a public row over who was best-suited to challenge incumbent MP, Everald Warmington, for the seat.

The matter resulted in a letter being dispatched to party chairman, Robert Pickersgill, calling for his intervention.
