PNP provides further details on its candidate who previously held a Grenadian passport

The People's National Party (PNP) has provided details following Wednesday's revelation that its candidate in St. Mary South Eastern, Dr. Shane Alexis, was previously the holder of a Grenadian passport.
His mother is Grenadian.
The news came hours after the PNP reported that Dr. Alexis, who has come under fire for not having Jamaican citizenship, was taking steps to acquire the status.
PNP General Secretary Julian Robinson outlined how the PNP candidate obtained the Grenadian passport.
He noted that the last time he travelled on it was in 2009 and it expired in 2012, and that he has not taken any step to acquire a replacement since.
