Police at homes of Ruel Reid, Fritz Pinnock

The police are now conducting searches at the homes of former Education Minister Ruel Reid and President of the Caribbean Maritime University (CMU) Professor Fritz Pinnock.

The operations are being led by detectives from the Major Organised Crime and Anti-corruption Agency (MOCA).

It's understood that MOCA detectives are also conducting raids at the St Ann home of former Member of Parliament and CMU employee Othneil Lawrence.

The former Education Minister and some agencies of the Ministry of Education, including the CMU, have been under a corruption probe.

After returning to work last week, Professor Pinnock was sent back on leave on Tuesday.
