SSP Vendolyn Cameron Powell, head of the Clarendon Police

The police are renewing their call for residents of Coco Walk in Clarendon to give information that can assist with the investigation into Wednesday's discovery of a newborn baby's head in the community.

Senior Superintendent Vendolyn Cameron Powell, head of the Clarendon Police, said investigators need the assistance of residents to complete the probe.

"So far, we are not aware of who might have given birth. We don't have any form of information to assist us. So as it is now, only people from that community or nearby community can assist the investigation," she said.

The head was found about 9 o'clock at the back of a house.

Investigators believe it was taken there by dogs.
