Police Federation reviewing government's wage offer

The central executive of the Police Federation is reviewing the latest response from the government to its wage claim.

The parties met over a week ago to continue negotiations after the Federation rejected the four-year wage proposal.

The Federation has been urging the Ministry of Finance to focus more on wages being offered to constables as a framework for a new deal.

Sheldon Gordon, General Secretary of the Federation, told RJR News that the government's response was submitted on Friday evening.

The Federation says its members remain restive.
