A warning has been issued by the police about a fish kill in Portmore, St. Catherine.
The police are advising members of the public that a large quantity of the fish populary called Sprat, believed to have been poisoned and seen floating in the Bridgeview/ Edgewater canal must not be retrieved and consumed.
The police and members of the National Environment and Planning Agency, are trying determine the cause of the fish kill. Members of the public should be on the lookout for persons selling the fish and make a report to the police.
