Police keeping closer eyes on Spanish Town with Tesha Miller release

The St Catherine North police are now keeping a close watch on sections of Spanish Town, St Catherine, following the release of the reputed leader of the Clansman Gang, Tesha Miller. Miller was released yesterday after spending nearly three weeks in custody.

Parish Judge Vaughn Smith had given the police until six last evening to either charge Miller or release him. The leader of the Spanish Town-based Clansman Gang was questioned on Wednesday in relation to gang activities and murders in Spanish Town. However, the cops say Miller refused to answer the questions.

Members of the Clansman gang have been engaged in a deadly internal feud which has led to the murder of more than 100 persons.

Miller was deported from the Bahamas two weeks ago after trying to enter that country illegally.
He was fined $100 on Tuesday after he pleaded guilty to breaches of the Immigration Act.
