Police post for Spanish Town bus park set back by a month

The police say, due to unforeseen challenges, the establishment of a police post at the Spanish Town bus park has been delayed by a month.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Clifford Blake, provided an update at the Commissioner's media briefing yesterday. He explained that plans are far advanced, but due to some logistal challenges, including housing and accomodation, the police have requested more time.

In May, National Security Minister Peter Bunting announced plans to establish the post as part of measures to tackle extortion in Spanish Town.
