Police probe cause of fire at Moon Palace Jamaica Grande Hotel

The police are conducting a probe into the fire which destroyed a section of  the Moon Palace Jamaica Grande Hotel in St Ann on Friday.
The police have cleared the property of  all non essential personnel and security measures are now in place at the hotel in the wake of  signs that the fire was deliberately set.
Moon Palace Jamaica Grande is being refurbished after it was sold last year.                    
Meanwhile, early Saturday, the fire fighters completed cooling down operations at the hotel.
According to the St Ann's Bay Fire Station, it responded to the call at 6:29 pm on Friday and dispatched two units.
Assistance was also sought from the Ocho Rios Fire Station which sent two units.The fire engulfed a part of  the hotel's north tower.
