Police search for taximan, accomplices conducting robberies in Kingston

The police have launched a search for a taxi operator and three others, including two women, who have been abducting and robbing commuters.
 
The last incident was recorded on December 7 when a 25 year old woman was robbed and thrown from the vehicle.
 
It was reported that the woman, a supervisor at a company in New Kingston, boarded a White Toyota Probox with red plates in New Kingston en route to Half-Way-Tree.
 
Two women and a man were also in the vehicle posing as pasengers.
 
The driver diverted onto Surbiton Road which is off the regular route.
 
The complainant became suspicious and tried to jump from the moving vehicle.
 
She was grabbed by the two women.
 
The woman was robbed of her handbag.
 
She sustained injuries to both arms when she was kicked from the vehicle by the robbers.
 
The police are urging commuters to be cautious when boarding taxis in the Corporate Area.
