Police to manage traffic flow on final days of Boys and Girls' Champs

Superintendent Courtney Coubrie, acting head of the JCF's Highway and Traffic Division

The Highway and Traffic Division of the Jamaica Constabulary Force has said plans are in place to manage traffic flow on Friday and Saturday for the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Athletics Championships at the National Stadium.

Superintendent Courtney Coubrie, acting head of the division, said arrangements were finalised at a meeting on Wednesday.

He said the police will be stationed at strategic locations to assist with traffic management.

"I myself will be there on the last day, that is Saturday, with a team of traffic police to treat with these challenges as well, so the public has nothing to fear," Superintendent Coubrie declared.

He said the traffic changes will begin from about midday on Friday until the end of the championships.
