As heavy rains continue in the parish of Portland, callers to RJR's newscentre are reporting that some roads are flooded and are only accessible using high vehicles.
Reports indicate that the road at Whitegate between Hope Bay and Black Hill is now under water.
A similar condition exists at Lennox on the way to Orange Bay.
Some schools in eastern Portland were closed today due to heavy rains.
They are Port Antonio Primary, Norwich Primary and Portland High schools.
