The country will today hear the outcome of meetings with members of private sector groups and the leadership of the two main political parties about the impending end of the States of Emergency.
A source told RJR News that a joint statement will be issued before noon.
On Wednesday, the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association, the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica, (PSOJ) and the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce, issued a joint statement calling for a meeting with the parties.
Yesterday, President of the PSOJ, Howard Mitchell, said the organisation held meetings with members of the People's National Party.
He said meetings would be held with the Jamaica Labour Party after.
