Prostitute found dead in St Catherine

The police are now probing the death of another prostitute along the Port Henderson Road, popularly known as Back Road, in Portmore, St Catherine.
     
The deceased has been identified by her alias "Shantell". She was found dead in a room at a motel at about ten o’clock Wednesday morning. Investigators say, an autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death.

Friends of  the deceased reported that she was a student at one of the country's top universities. They said "Shantell," who is from the western parish Westmoreland, attended classes during the day and worked at nights to finance her studies.

This is the second case in recent times. A month ago, another prostitute was found strangled in a hotel along the same strip.
