The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) will elect a new president on Thursday.
The election will take place during the organisation's Council meeting.
The new president will replace William Mahfood who announced in June that he would demit office earlier than planned.
His tenure was scheduled to end in December when the PSOJ holds its annual general meeting.
Mahfood said he would step down to focus on the rebuilding of Wysinco's distribution facility which was destroyed by fire earlier this year.
