A new wage offer has been made to public sector teachers.
The Jamaica Teachers' Association (JTA) in a release Friday afternoon, said a special general council meeting has been called for Monday to consider the offer.
The Association's Salaries and Conditions of Service Committee met on Friday with officials of the Ministry of Finance.
The meeting was arranged after the teachers took industrial action for three days.
