Public warned to be careful of stolen meat

The Praedial Larceny Prevention Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is advising members of the public to be careful where they purchase meat.

This follows the theft and slaughtering of medicated animals in Westmoreland.

About 9:00 Monday morning, the Westmoreland Agro Enforcement Team recovered fourteen stolen goats and seized the carcasses of four others.

Three persons were subsequently arrested.

The Police are asking persons who may have had their goats stolen to contact the Savanna-la-Mar CIB at 955-2758, the Praedial larceny Unit at Police 119 emergency number, Crime Stop at 311 or the nearest Police Station.
