The National Works Agency (NWA) has reported that patching works on Mandela Highway have been completed.
Motorists encountered delays along Mandela Highway on Monday and Tuesday as sections of the road were damaged by persistent showers.
NWA Communication Manager Stephen Shaw, said pothole patching activities, which started on Tuesday and were delayed by rain, were completed Wednesday afternoon.
He said the remedial work should improve driving comfort and ease of travel for motorists.
The NWA is undertaking major road improvement works along Mandela Highway, to include the extension of the thoroughfare to a six-lane dual carriageway.
The project is expected to be completed in August 2018.
