Residents protest lack of working police vehicles in Port Morant

Several residents of Port Morant, St. Thomas are staging a peaceful protest in the Port Morant square over the lack of a working police service vehicle for the area.
    
Vinnette Johnson, head of Lifeline Mission, a charity group in the parish, said the station has been without a functioning service vehicle for about two months.
    
She said this is of concern as there has been an increase in serious crimes in the area.
    
The residents are calling on the Minister of National Security Robert Montague to move quickly in addressing the problem.
