Ruling in election petition against Yallahs councillor to be handed down next year

A ruling in the election petition matter involving Jamaica Labour Party Councillor for the Yallahs Division Dean Jones and the People's National Party's Constantine Bogle is to be handed down next year.
Attorneys completed oral submissions in the Supreme Court on Tuesday.
Justice Brian Sykes said he will make his ruling within 120 days.
Mr. Bogle is contending that Mr. Jones did not live in St. Thomas for a stipulated period as required by law, and is therefore unfit to serve in the municipal corporation.
The court is to determine whether Mr. Jones lived in Yallahs and was a civil servant when he was elected.
