Samuda to brief Prime Minister Holness on state of affairs at Ministry of Education

Karl Samuda, who has been given temporary responsibility for Cabinet level supervision of the Ministry of Education, Youth & Information, is scheduled to brief Prime Minister Andrew Holness on Monday concerning the state of affairs at the ministry, and make recommendations for fixing the issues identified.

Mr. Samuda, Minister without Portfolio, was given that responsibility following the sacking of Ruel Reid last week and the ministry's transfer to the Office of the Prime Minister.

Mr. Samuda said, since then, he has had meetings with all heads of agencies within the ministry, including those at the Caribbean Maritime University.

He told RJR News on Sunday evening that he would not be able to comment on his findings until the Prime Minister is briefed.
