Search on for missing school boys

A frantic search is continuing for two boys from the Tredegar Park All Age School in St. Catherine who are believed to have drowned in the Rio Cobre Wednesday. The boys are from grades 7 and 9. Community members, police personnel and divers are at the scene.

Reports are that after school dismissed at 1:30 p.m., a group of students went to the river. Celomie Henry, the school's Vice Principal, says about three hours later she was informed by the watchman that a parent was querying about a mishap at the river.

Mrs. Henry says they went by the river and found two bags and a school uniform. A search of the bags confirmed the identities of the boys. She says the students who were at the river with the boys have refused to speak.

In the meantime, Angela Taylor, the mother of 15 year old Brian Davis, one of the missing boys, says she knew something was wrong when she failed to get him on his cellular phone Wednesday afternoon.

Miss Taylor says she has been informed that her son was among a group of six boys who went to the Rio Cobre.
