Search underway in St. Thomas for men involved in morning robbery

A search is underway in St. Thomas for at least three men, believed to have been involved in a robbery in Roselle early Wednesday morning.

The police believe the men were involved in a spate of robberies in Kingston, St. Andrew and now St. Thomas.

The men who were traveling in a stolen black Toyota Corolla motorcar, went to a house in Roselle where they held up and robbed the occupants of appliances and cash. They loaded the appliances into the owners' BMW motorcar and their vehicle. However, as they fled the scene, the BMW became stuck on an embankment and was abandoned.

While on the Yallahs main road heading to Kingston, the driver lost control of the other vehicle which overturned. The thieves also abandoned that vehicle with the stolen items.

The St. Thomas police believe the men escaped on motorcycles.
