Sections of Constant Spring road closed temporarily

A section of  the southbound lanes along Constant Spring Road between Gore Terrace and the Sandy Gully Bridge in St. Andrew has been temporarily closed in order to complete pipe-laying works near the Dunrobin Avenue intersection.
Traffic will not be allowed until 4 o'clock Monday morning.
NWA Communication Manager, Stephen Shaw, says underground works in the area have proven to be challenging as there are several old and fragile pipelines at the location.
This has resulted in several breaks.
The NWA says during this weekend's road closure the installation of  a 28-inch transmission main and distribution pipes will be completed.
During the closure, the northbound carriageway between West Kings House Road and Dunrobin Avenue will accommodate two-way traffic as well as motorists heading towards Half-Way-Tree.
However, to avoid delays, motorists can use Dunrobin Avenue and Red Hills Road or Grants Pen Avenue, Waterloo Road and West Kings House Road to travel southbound.
