Seven Clansman gang members remanded

Seven more members of the Spanish Town based Clansman gang were remanded when they appeared before the Home Circuit Court on Wednesday.
Chief Justice Bryan Sykes refused to grant them bail.
The defendants have been charged under the anti-gang legislation.
Investigators say the men who have been linked to murders, conspiracy to murder, shootings and extortion in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, were arrested during a crackdown on the Clansman gang in 2015.
One of them is also charged with escaping custody.
They are to return to court on May 28 for a case management hearing.
Andre Bryan, the alleged leader of the gang, his mother and six members of the criminal network were arrested in March.
