Seven sentenced on lottery scam charges in St. James

Seven persons from St. James, including a female, who pleaded guilty to lottery scam charges, were sentenced last week in the Montego Bay Circuit Court.  
According to MOCA, they were all charged for being in possession of identity information.
The seven - Conroy Thompson, Odale Johnson, Everol Johnson,  Jonothon Streete, David Thorpe, Troy Dennison and Mellisa Harvey - were given suspended sentences and fined.
If they are unable to pay the fines, they will serve 12 months in prison at hard labour.
