Social cases to be removed from Spanish Town Hospital

Norman Scott, Chairman of the St. Catherine Municipal Corporation

All social cases are to be removed from the Spanish Town Hospital in St. Catherine by the end of the month.

This has been made possible with the donation of forty beds to the Spanish Town Infirmary by Food for the Poor.

Social cases refer to those persons who have been living at hospitals for years.

Some of the individuals have been abandoned by their families.

Speaking a function for the handing over of the beds on Monday, Norman Scott, Chairman of the St. Catherine Municipal Corporation, thanked Food for the Poor for its prompt response to the Corporation's request for assistance.
