St. Elizabeth councillor apologises for comments about MP

A planned walk out by the People's National Party (PNP) caucus of the St. Elizabeth Municipal Corporation during Thursday's monthly meeting was averted following an apology by Councillor Christopher Williams of the Santa Cruz Division, for a statement he made during Tuesday's meeting of the Corporation's Infrastructure Committee.

Mr. Williams, who is chairman of the committee, reportedly referred to Evan Redman, Member of Parliament for St. Elizabeth North Eastern, as "wicked" and "vindictive".

It led to a walk out by PNP members after Mr. Williams refused to apologise.
