St. Elizabeth Police reportedly making progress in probe of gang linked to major robbery

The St. Elizabeth Police say they are making progress in their investigation of a criminal gang linked to a major robbery in the parish.
 
Members of the gang stole more than $3 million from a financial services outlet last month.
 
A security guard was also robbed of his firearm.
 
Superintendent Samuel Morgan, head of the St. Elizabeth Police, told RJR News the investigation is progressing smoothly and a breakthrough in the matter is expected soon. 
 
Superintendent Morgan said the St. Elizabeth Police are concerned about the number of armed robberies in the parish in recent months. 
 
He said the police will do everything in their power to arrest the culprits and return order and security to the parish.
