St. James man arrested for lottery scamming

Another person has been nabbed as the police continue their clampdown on the lottery scam.
Dwayne Newell, 31, of Cornwall Court in Montego Bay, St. James was arrested and charged yesterday by detectives assigned to the Lottery Scam Taskforce.
He has been charged with Possession of Identity Information.
During a four and a half hour raid at a property occupied by Mr. Newell, two laptop computers, three phones, a notebook and two money transfer receipts were reportedly found in a bedroom.
An on site analysis was done of the devices and numerous files with names, addresses and telephone numbers of persons believed to be living overseas were allegedly found.
