Stewart Town to Retreat taxi operators withdraw service

Transport operators using the Stewart Town to Retreat main road, which borders Trelawny and St. Ann, have withdrawn their service.

The operators, along with residents, on Monday morning used fallen trees and other debris to block sections of the road.

This resulted in several commuters being stranded.

They say the road is in a bad condition and is costing them to spend thousand of dollars in repairs.

They are appealing to authorities to immediately address the issue.
