Supreme Court sets April trial dates for petition in Yallahs Division

The Supreme Court has set trial dates of April 25 to 27 in the case challenging the legality of Dean Jones being elected Councillor of the Yallahs Division in St. Thomas.
The dates were set on Tuesday when the matter came up for mention and the attorneys requested more time.
Mr. Jones defeated the People's National Party's Constantine Bogle by 125 votes in the November 28 Local Government Election.
Mr. Bogle's legal team is claiming that Mr. Jones did not live in the parish for a stipulated period as required by law.
