The police say a teenager has been charged in connection with the ammunition seized in Bedward Gardens, August Town in St. Andrew Sunday afternoon during an operation by the security forces.
The operation was in response to Sunday's drive-by shooting in which a man was killed and a student of the University of the West Indies injured.
The police say 21 rounds of ammunition were found in a knapsack the teenager was carrying.
He has been charged with illegal possession of ammunition.
The police reported that about 4:30, five men, including the teenager were seen sitting on an old car.
On seeing the police, four of them ran.
The teenager was searched and the ammunition found.
