A teenage boy is among several persons killed with just twelve hours into the New Year. He was stabbed on Constant Spring Road in St. Andrew.
The police report that the incident occurred between Central and South Avenue in the vicinity of Savannah Plaza as the teenager was walking.
The teen was approached by men who was stabbed him. He was pronounced dead at hospital.
It's believed that his cellphone was stolen by his attackers.
In Lucea, Hanover, the body of a taxi operator was found along the Johnson Town main road early Sunday.
He has been identified as 39 year old Bruce Brown of Kew in the parish.
Motorists saw Brown's body about 2:30 and alerted the police. It was found lying face down with a bullet wound to the head.
His car had been stolen.
And shortly before 5.00 a.m., residents heard explosions in New Town, Sandy Bay, Hanover. The body of 39 year-old Tedford Grizzle was found about an hour later on the road with bullet wounds to the head.
Five spent shells were found at the scene.
