Tesha Miller was questioned for three hours on Wednesday by investigators attached to the Major Investigation Division, MID.
He was questioned in relation to gang activities and murders in Spanish Town, St Catherine.
A senior investigator told RJR News that Miller refused to answer the questions and was subsequently released by the Major Investigation Division last evening. He, however, remains in custody as he is to be questioned by C-TOC (Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime) investigators.
C-TOC officers are expected to appear before St Andrew Parish Judge Simone Wolfe-Reece on Thursday morning to tell her whether they have enough evidence to keep him in custody.
Miller's attorneys had filed a writ on Wednesday, challenging the decision of the police to keep him in custody without charge.
