Third aspirant enters race for St. Andrew South chairmanship

RJR News has received word that a third aspirant has entered the upcoming elections to succeed outgoing Dr. Omar Davies, Chairman of the Constituency of St. Andrew Southern.

It was expected that Vice Chairman Mark Golding and Colin Campbel, former managing director of the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC), would have squared off for the constituency chairmanship.

That exercise is scheduled for this Saturday at the South St. Andrew Constituency Office, Avon Park Rd.

However it has now emerged that Dr. Wesley Morris, Chairman of the PNP's Governance and Ethics Commission, has applied to the Region Three Executive to contest the election.

Dr. Morris worked in the United Kingdom for more than 38 years. He returned to Jamaica in 2002 to establish his consultancy/training practice in Jamaica. He also did a short stint as Human Resource Development Consultant at Jamaica Money Market Brokers Limited (JMMB).
