Three Costa Ricans were sentenced on Thursday in the Manchester Parish Court for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
They were arrested on August 29 at Alligator Reef in Manchester after their boat was intercepted by the Jamaica Defence Force Coast Guard and found to contain more than 1900 lbs of compressed ganja.
The men all pleaded guilty to the offences and received sentences ranging from six months to two years for the offences.
The sentences are to run concurrently if the fines are paid.
