Three persons including a teenager have been charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition following a police operation in Perline Stream, St. James on Monday night.
The adults are 36 year old David Thelwell and 24 year old Teeka Rave.
About 11:00 p.m., the police intercepted a truck.
The vehicle and the passengers were searched and an AK 47 Assault Rifle, two magazines and two cartridges were reportedly found.
The three are scheduled to appear before the Western Regional Gun Court on Tuesday.
