The three men who were held this week in Parotee, St. Elizabeth with several bags containing ganja have been charged.
The police have now put the weight of the ganja at 1,200 pounds, valued at $4.8 million.
Those charged are 34 year old Neville Brooks, 27 year old Malcolm Foster and 38 year old Omar Brown, all farmers of Slipe in the parish.
The men were charged on Wednesday.
Their case will be mentioned on June 18 in the St. Elizabeth Parish Court.
Allegations are that on Sunday, men were seen offloading several knitted bags from a Hiace Bus.
On the approach of the police, they ran.
Brooks, Foster and Brown were chased and held.
The police seized 24 knitted bags containing 121 packages of compressed ganja.
Three vehicles were also seized.
